A leisurely cycle ride down the gorgeous coastline, taking in stunning bays and seaside towns, coastal nature reserves, Roman ruins, a lunch stop at a Victorian seaside resort, and seaside delights in Margate. A flat and relaxing coastline route suitable for riders of all abilities. Along the way, there will be frequent stops where Colin will share stories about the history, culture, and landscape, including little-known local secrets!

Itinerary

11am | Meet at Whitstable station (platform 1 side) where you will be introduced to your fellow adventurers before heading off along a traffic-free coastal path.

 

Early Afternoon | Lunch stop in Hern Bay, a quaint Victorian seaside resort and a walk along the pier.

 

Late Afternoon | Visit a Roman ruin & Reculver Towers, sometimes known as the 'Twin Sisters,' ruins of a wrecked medieval church &  tour of Magical Margate.

 

Either jump on the train back to Whitstable or stay in Margate, explore, and catch the train back home in your own time.
